Hey Tony,

Thinking back ( tried this over the summer) it did not help my redness but
my face gets red usually because my skin is dry--I have never had oily
skin--I wish I did have the oily type of seb derm because then I would go on
Accutane because it dries up the oil--for me Accutane is out of the question
because my skin is already so naturally bone dry. Teh green tea just dried
my up even more and my face got redder.

What the green tea does is it really soaks up all the oil on your face and
it does have some anti-inflammatory properties--on the acne message boards,
alot of kids with really oily skin does this same treatment and it helps
them. So, anyone with really oily skin may want to give a try.

I may give the green tea cream a try some day as it wouldn't be as harsh and
<!--more-->
drying--this has always been my mine problem, finding some kind of
anti-inflammatory that is also mosturizing--the Cutanix is OK in that
respect for me, but when I get a flare, I usually need a steroid cream to
get it completely resolved.

Good luck if you try it--its cheap enough of a remedy anyway--a box of Green
Tea at the market is only a few dollars.

If you have the dry form of sebderm as opposed to the oily version, I would
be carefeul with this--I tried it a few times and it dries out your skin big
time

Maybe a green tea cream may work better for the dry type--I have seen them
at the vitamin stores but never tried them

Hey Dick
how long before you saw some results while using the green tea facial wash?
and any particular brand of green tea that you are using? and are you doing
anything with your diet?

Yes, I do. But it may not work for everyone.

I used to reply to rocea group but no one was
interested & that's why I have not replied to sebderm
group since joining.

I had sebderm for years & like everyone else was using
cortizone. I joined the rocea group & read that
someone used green tea to wash their face with great
success. I started to give it a try & ever since year
2000, I haven't had to touch minocycline nor cortizone
nor any type of western medicine, be it cream, lotion
or tablets.

I used 1 bag of green tea at night. Put tea bag in
<!--more-->
boiling water, just as you would make a normal cup of
tea but use the bare minimal amount of water, about
40ml. Wait till warm then dab it all over your
affected area and let it dry before going to bed.

Good luck.
