In my case the answer is yes.Cure isnt the right word but
simply putting on a topical everyday and watching what I
eat then you may as well say cure.At this stage Im sure
everyone knows the topical I use and some are probably tired
of me talking about it so I dont really know what more to say
without constantly repeating myself.

Same here! Still using the Skinceuticals cleanser, toner, and Phyto+ serum. I use Metrocream at night only and apply everywhere on my face except nose and area below nose. Area below nose was my seb derm area and I use a very little bit of Protopic on that area at night. That’s it. During the day I use the Phyto+ everywhere but the seb derm area — I apply Complex 15 moisturizer to that area in the morning.
And, that’s that!

P.S. Summer and Fall are easy on my face — Winter is the killer.

Hey Rory, what is it that you eat or try to avoid eating, and what is the
topical?

Yes I´ve been cured. I use Essex lotion every day and every night. I´ve been
OK for eight months - only once I got some problems. It was this summer
after eating a lot of strawberries. After a week I was ok again. Now I know
that I can eat anything except strawberries and oranges. I don´t need the
green tea anymore.
I really am very glad since my skin now is in a very good condition.
Actually it hasn´t been this good since I was a child.
But to be sure of keeping it like this I have to go on with Essex twice a
day and that´s really not a problem, I am so glad I´ve found this lotion!
Hoping all of you will find the real friendly cure, without steroids.

Hah, that’s rich. Maybe when hell freezes over.

What am I doing? I’ve pretty much given up. DRL was working for a
while but lost its effectiveness. I’m not going back to topical
steroids and nothing else has helped so I’m doing nothing.
Fortunately it’s not as bad for me in the late summer and fall but I
am not looking forward to the winter.
Can anyone give more input on that Essex lotion. How many people
have had success with it?

I was using a bunch of tea tree oil stuff for a while,
and that was making it easy to de-flake, but not
curing. Then a couple of weeks ago I had a horrible
outbreak — you know, the kind that is all red and
cracked and really hurts — so I decided to see if the
ketoconazole cream would work for me again (it stopped
working after I used it for a couple of months). Sure
enough, it did — and my skin has looked awesome for
about 2 weeks. Sadly, I know that this will only be
temporary, so when it stops working I’m going to go
back to putting medicated Selsun on my face for about
5 minutes every morning and see if that works again
too, since it has been months since I used it. So
that’s my update
