Hi,

i was wondering from peoples experiences what foods might be good for
reducing sebderm and what foods are deffinitely a no go. Also i was
wondering if anyone has an experience of significantly reduced

Sebderm on face

Thursday, May 15th, 2003

Hi,

I’m new here, i’ve had seborreic dermatitis i think for about 3
yeaRS, i am only 18 now. It was only diagnosed last november. I have
a what looks like an inflamed rash either side of my face and quite a
lot of dandruff. Sometimes my face stings. I have no other symptoms
and have perfect skin everywhere else on my body. it is the rash on
my face that i am most bothered about… by far, as it is the most
visible. i was prescribed a steroidal cream which alleviated the
problem on my face a little, however it didn’t go away and i stopped
usimng it after a few months due to fear of side effects, i was also
prescribed nizoral shampoo which has helped a lot. I went back to the
doctors recently as my face wasn’t relly getting better, he then
prescribed a normal moisturiser, this just irritated the problem and
made it worse so i stopped using that after a few days.

Are we Sexy LOL

Monday, May 12th, 2003

Hi,
Here is a bit of fun. I was watching the Discovery Health channel. They
have a show on called sex appeal. There was a dr that suggested that the
production of sebum (sp?) causes people to want to kiss you. His basis for
this is that babies produce a large amount of sebum and everyone ones to
kiss babies. I just thought every might get a laugh that we might be some
type of magnets.

antibiotics & fungus

Why couldn’t chronic use of antibiotics cause an overgrowth of yeast,
thus contributing to this problem?

protopic & pain?

Sunday, May 11th, 2003

Hi, I have been using it for a year and have had a lot of pain and
stiffness for the last several months. Has anyone else had pain? I
do not have burning or stinging upon application, just soreness in a
day or two, particularly if i try to stop using it. Anyone else have a
similar experience? I am so worried about it and my derms aren’t the
least bit concerned.

How many has tried green tea bags?

Friday, May 9th, 2003

I have been using green tea bags for seb derm and pustules associated
with rosacea for the past several months and for the first time in 5
years have no more problems with either one that can’t be alleviated
in one day. I just put a tea bag in a little hot water and let it sit
for a few minutes then dab it on the affected areas several times a
day if I’m having an outbreak or twice a day if my face is clear. I
tried everything I have seen mentioned OTC as well as prescriptions
plus all the soaps and cleansers and this is the ONLY thing that has
ever worked for me. I am just wondering how many of you have tried
this and how it has worked for you?

I went there and they use masks to treat you.

They said they give your face a type of light that does not burn you
like the sun but kills the litter buggers..

I went to sleep and put the mask on. When I woke up my sking was so
