It’s not easy to treat and doesn’t make you happy.
I am so glad to find this group and to meet all of you here.
Please, tell me if it’s still possible to get protopic from
usamedicine.com or if it’s to find somewhere else.
Thank you and all my greetings to you all. Tina

Hi everyone.
Execuse for my English if you’ll see something wrong.
I’m 21 and I think I have SD. It lasts for three years, from 18-19.
Firstly it began from my forehead, and then went to cheeks, nose and
chin. Itching red spots with yellow greasy pieces and some kind of
liquid coming out from them. For the first year used prednisolone and
locoid. Then Triderm for half yesr, Elocom for half year. Start of
disease coincided with frequent alco drinking and I tend to think it
was one of the reasons if not the main of them. I’ve stoped drinking
any alcohol at all after first year, when I started to use Triderm and
it became better.
After that my decease was concidered to be a Demodex-caused issue.
I’ve passed a course of tar-based creams plus Isotretinoin cream and
different alcohols for cleaning.
It caused awful scabbing and secondary bacterial infection. Came back
to triderm and skin went to its normal state (if that can be called
normal). And I never came to that doctor again.
Then I finally got the SD diagnosis. I had two injections of Kenalog
(Triamcinolone) with a four month interval, a shampoo with
ketoconazole and pyrithione zinc and also Triderm.
Situation seemed to stabilize but now things became worse. Heavy
itching especially at nights and after the swimming pool. I’ve felt
that I am enough of steroid creams and asked my new doctor to change
them. Now I began to use Sensibio (Acid 18-ß-Glicirretínic) and cream
with vitamins A D and E.
Sensibio caused allergic reaction and itching. To say I’m a highly
allergic - can’t eat fish, allergy on dust, domestic animals and so on.
I’ve contacted with my doctor and talked about using nizoral cream.
Now I’ll try it… carefully.
Indeed I’m very tied and distressed with my disease, so any help is
highly appreciated.

If I were you, i would go to www.askwaltstollmd.com, and look up the
archives on SD. There’s a theory, that the hypersensitivies related to
SD, is caused by an increased intestinal permability, Leaky Gut
Syndrome. This could even be related to your allergies. Just read the
articles and the archives on the BB on that site. And you will begin
to understand. I’m currently 2 months and 2 weeks into my "healing
program", to early to tell if it works, it will take from 3 - 12
months to get results..
I believe stress and alcohol was the trigger in my case. If you read
on that page, you will see that the intestinals, where aprox. 70% of
the immunesystem is "located", is the FIRST "organ" to loose the
bloodsuply when stressed.
Makes sense to me, so I feel it’s worth a shot. What I know for SURE
is that NOTHING you put on your skin will fix this condition. NOTHING.
Anything you put on that works, is only suppressing symptoms. The
causes are internal. Read and you’ll see. Mail me if you got any
questions

Mart,
Nice post and it’s a smart thing to treat SD by healing yourself internally. Dr. Stoll has some great tips on his website as well. I agree the gut is key. It took me a little over 3 months to clean out and now I’m feeling great. More and more people are learning to heal themselves internally. It’s just a matter of time. Good luck.

Your body has its own ability to clean itself out if you are eating properly and giving the body the right nutrients so it can do its job. There are supplements out there that help the body get rid of toxins in vitamin form or herbs.
Probiotic bacterial cultures are intended to assist the body’s naturally occurring flora within the digestive tract to reestablish themselves. They are sometimes recommended by doctors, and, more frequently, by nutritionists, after a course of antibiotics, or as part of the treatment for candida. Many probiotics are present in natural sources such as lactobacillus in yogurt (Erivan brand) and sauerkraut.
I cannot make any recomendations to you because I don’t know much about your situation.

Sorry that it took me a month to reply to you Jay, but I haven’t
visited this board in a while..
I also testing out some "Soil Based Organisms", taking L-Glutamine,
and EFA’s
L-Glutamine is the fuel for the cells making up the intestinal lining.
Besides that i haven’t done any big changes in my life. I’ve tried to
However I do not freak out, I think… And at
limit my consumption of refined sugar, since that suppresses immune-
function. So no candy
the moment I also limit my alcohol consumption.
I’ve read that Candida overgrowht is beeing linked with SD, and that
might be true. But it’s potentially useless to go on a candida-diet,
consume LOTS of anti-fungals, if not the causes are dealt with.
Each day, we are flooded with "candida-seeds". It’s everywhere. It’s
not so much about the organism itself, it’s more about the
Battlefield, aka our gut. Normally the candida wouldn’t be able to
settle in the gut, the friendly bacterias and our immune system would
keep it in check. So what makes us suspectible?
There are several reasons, antibiotics are one, but something even
more common is stored hypothalamic stress-effect. There are several
articles on www.askwaltstollmd.com that explains this. Makes perfectly
sense to me.
I’m now 3 months and some days into my SR, haven’t seen any huge
changes in my skin yet. But the effect is accumulative, and it might
be 3 more months before it shows in my skin. One cool effect from the
SR, is that 14 days after I started, i began to dream every night, and
remember the dreams easily when i woke up. This is still happening,
quite interesting.

hi, in my experience I will recomend you to stop using any product-
cream. only use shampoo-dandruff two or three times a week also, in
you face for few minutes not to long. and stop drinking alcohol and
spice food. eat more fruits and vegetables and avoid strees. if you
have a very stressfull work change you job. and exercise. walking is
fine. and also, if you face is not irritated take some sun for few
minutes this help me. anyway remember not, every one is the same
but, this works for me. and help me. take care.
