Ketoconazole & DesOwen

Hello, first time here!

I have spotty sebderm on my mustache line, chin, cheeks, eyebrows, hairline
and sideburns, I went to the doctor for the first time about this and he gave
me Ketoconazole & DesOwen. I guess we were both in a huury that day or
whatever but I forgot to ask how to apply these, what goes on first? second?
do they go on together?

Does shaving frequently seem to help?, how about my hairline? wahts good
for those areas?

Will sebderm encourage hair loss?

Does drinking beer encourage sebderm flareups?

sorry for all the questions…..

ciao

From my experience–just try using the Desowen by itself at first, once in
the morning and once at night–it is a low potency steroid and the risks of
daily use seem low. You may want to alternate every few days between the
Desowen and the ketoconazale–I just didn’t find the keto to be very useful
especially on the really bad flare ups–the Desowen seems to work quicker.

Drinking beer is especially bad for me with regards to sebderm flare ups so
I stopped drinkin about a year ago–however, there are are possibly many
other things that can cause this–for me, it is dairy also–If I eat ice
cream, I am guaranteed to get a severe breakout the next day.

The only place I get sebderm is in my eyebrows and when it comes, it is
really really bad–about as freakish looking as anything you want to see and
it has caused my eyebrow hairs to fall out like crazy and they don’t seem to
be growing back in–this has been happening for about 14 months know–never

got sebderm on my scalp but if I did, I would probably be worried about hair
loss there as well because I see what a disaster it has left of my eyebrows.
