Whats up folks!
I just found out I had an incurable disease (my first one) I guess it
better than cancer?
Anyways the My doctor gave me three things…
Sellsun blue
Canasten
And some kind of steriod cream:
Desocort / Desonide 0.5 % cream
So whats the deal am I in good hands, to be honest i am worried about
taking a steriod cream, so I thought I would ask some people who
might have a bit more knowlege than my self.
Peashout folks!

do you have rosacea? Please be very careful with the steroid. If it makes
you red at all you may also have rosacea. Just a word of warning. Good
luck

dont take the steroid cream ! at all costs . try protopic cream , it does
the same as steroid but doesnt have the harmful effects of steroids , its
one of the new creams out ,and me and a few people on this site are using
it and its very good ,but expensive . i started on steroids around 8 years
ago and only recently got off them , they are a nightmare and the rebound
factor and the steroid roscacea i got from them was worse than my original
prognosis.please avoid at all costs !!

I re-iterate what has gone before regarding steroid creams, dont` use them. They
completely messed my skin up and now I don`t think it will ever be the same
again.
P.S. As usamedicine.com is no longer around how are people outside the US
getting their Protopic? I need to know as mine is getting low but I can`t find
anywhere that sells it.

moisturiser over the protopic ? ive just got my hands on some jojaba oil
here in aussie while on my hols and having a go with that, and my skin has
improved . but until now i havent been usung any sort of moisturiser over
the protopic as dont wana interfer with it. what u reckon ? and hows ure

I appreciate all the good advise. I like hear your opinions on some
questions I still have
1)What should I take instead of the steriod cream (were do i get it)
2)Is it ok to use lotion if you have sub derm(face is dry and tight)
3)How often should I wash my face?
4)If anybody can help, especially with this I would be very
greatfull, is it possiable to get rid of scales(forehead/top of head)
hopefully as simply as possible.
5) Can somebody describe their routine.
Thankyou

hi pexxmexx.
give me a day or two and ill write my routine down , but also depends on
which part of the world yuore in ,to what products you can and cannot get
your hands on . look up protopic on the inet and see where you can buy it
. this i reccomend and also the ctephil cleansing bar ,not the liquid soap
as too harsh . can use the soap daily ,but not to hard .just rub into
hands and splash water on and off quickly . thats what i do anyways. lots
of water also helps, drink as much as possible.
