well for me started on the nose ,on the concave sides, greasy.
then spread to the nasal line and from there.flaky skin dry, cracked.
dandruff round the edges of the hairline, behind the ears etc. then when
steroids were applied redness to the cheeks and chin and only the last few
months the t part of the forehead(ive had this for 7/8 years,so the
forehead recent) oh yeh and flaky skin on the eyebrows. redness on your
chest (sternum). the more steroids and crap u put on the worse the
condition becomes and the more paranoid and stressed you become which
triggers the condition further.
basically flakiness,weeping,redneess is s.d imho….

That sounds like the way my sebderm began.
It all started when I moved to NYC. Anyway, I’ve been taking Amoxicillin
(antibiotic) for 2 weeks for an unrelated reason. From the second day of
taking it, all the sebderm cleared up totally. It’s so refreshing. I’m
biting my nails for when I go off the Amox in 4 days!!

My history exactly mirrors Daves.
I would steer clear of steroids at all costs.

Couldn,t you continue taking the antibiotic long term, if it cleared
you up totally, why not? i know people who take antibiotics for there
rosacea.
